Root chakra is known as Muladhara chakra in Sanskrit means foundational support of existence of human beings. It is represented in the base of the spine. The Root chakra is the ultimate source of internal energy in human body. When the root chakra activate, dormant energy flows freely upward through the seven chakras; it leads to an expanded state of consciousness. If one wants to know about the chakras imbalance, one must listen to mind and body. Muladhara chakra is the base chakra from where our internal energy flows from root chakra to upward and downward direction. If you are feeling sluggish, lazy and tired it means there is chakra imbalance and your energy flow is in downwards direction. Sometimes such flow may lead to health issues like arthritis, back pain and constipation.
The Root chakra is symbolized by a red, four-petaled lotus with a yellow square at its centre representing greatest joy, natural pleasure, delight in controlling passion, and blissfulness in concentration. Apart from it, there are herbs and foods associated with Root chakra it like ashwgandha, ginger, garlic, carrots, potatoes and radish.
